AM: Internal Beauty Routine

 

This keeps me accountable. As many of you saw on my gram, April had been a successful month for personal growth and development. Working out daily had pushed and propelled me for the next step of this beauty and wellness evolution.

This month of May, I have vowed to keep up with the maintenance and implementing a new and improved internal intake for my beauty from within, skin is in, soul is prime routine.

I am actively reaching for these sustainably sourced oils to balance and better my goals as I am officially swapping my usual go to and comforting sugary caffeinated drinks for something else like this. Wish me clean!

Phases

Some of my best thoughts & come backs have risen from the lows. Not that one dwells in that state for too long, just like the moon, learning to evolve and be okay within, no matter what phase.

You’ll get the part of me, at my fullest, be the shiniest star in the galaxy, where as these days (months) I’ve got into total phase of the other side of the moon and you’ll be lucky if you catch even the slightest glimpse.

It’s vital to my learning process and growth to love all the stages and celebrate the sequences that create our entire being. Some people get bits and pieces, of our soul and synergy and if they’re lucky, they’ll stay and change the alignment of your cosmos entirely.

Energy is like that, life is like that, the present is definitely that. Appreciate the highlights, lowlights and everything in between as things would have their time and day, be present with what you are now before it passes without you enjoying it all its full pace/phase.

April Goals- discipline and commitment

The last day of April and I am ecstatic to announce and really in complete disbelief that even during this time of uncertainty I had kept the promise of discipline and commitment to myself.

A great month long of intense personal development, rewirements and self love had propelled the growth and I am looking forward to what May brings. Since I have been keeping up with the physical part of the bargain, I am now committing to revamping the thoughtful intake of my food diet and trust, this area could use a tune up!

Yes, you read that right! I have partnered with Vital Proteins  a sustainably-sourced nutrition product company, promoting health, fitness and natural beauty. my city pampering routine

With more time that I could fathom, not only have I been taking care of the mental, spiritual, physical & hustle, I am making moooore time than ever to dive into the wonderful world of beauty.

In this post, I have featured my tried and true must have products when I am feeling a bit extra and wanting to be pampered!

Just a few simple items can definitely change the mood and vibe around even for those who are little bit harder to please or impress (me 😝)

This pleasure filled pampering affair starts with Dr Dennis Gross alpha beta peel pads/ also tanning face sheets, this extremely effective duo not only exfoliates my skin (really important process and maintenance) it also tans my face to match my body! As you know, we keep very meticulous care about our face so upon finding this gem, I was hooked! See what happens when you tan, THEN EXFOLIATE with the products you have, it actually lessens the time of your fabulous tan…and if you don’t exfoliate at all…well, we won’t go down that road okay?

This process for the face takes no longer than any application of my skin care routine combined. The perfect sized towelettes can be used as a whole (or give into my hack of cutting it in half and save the other for the next week)

Next tanners for the body. I have tried multiple products from the St. Tropez line as well as Isle of Paradise, having used both and also seen my colleagues with it, the isle of paradise collection has a range of  light, medium, dark, which are perfect for skin tones lighter than I as it is a gradual hint and change! I on the other hand, have that medium tan/olive skin that I like to toast up a little bit more, so I went with the master of all insta tanning.

So face done, body done, now hair! I have abstained from colored hair for a little over 10 years so after going light, I wanted to experiment with color and lo and behold! Semi permanent hair dyes with deep conditioning features?! Say WHAT!

Moroccan Oil, color depositing mask has changed the game folks. This do it yourself magic in a pouch or tube allows the consumer to not only apply the color like you would conditioner, it has the most famous ingredient to help nourish, hydrate and strengthen your locks Goldi! The color I chose was hibiscus, loving this intense fuchsia shade that fades into ALLLLL THE HUES OF PINK, leading to its rose gold pink, blush pink situation that I am absolutely fond of.

DIY-ing has been making me feel empowered, informed, creative and definitely saving money utilizing my own talent and skills to perform such goddess glam. I hope you are all taking the time to be well, as well.

Get ready with me! – pop of color

 

 

Hello! How are we all surviving 4/20 and taurus season week? I have entered this space with such new emotions and building a new mindset that how can we possibly turn things around from trials to triumph?!

After a much needed break, from all realms, I am excited to pick up where I left off.

Zooming with friends, family and now having to implement this new wave of communication, I have been thriving at this off time and it has been allowing me to view my own magic in a different light.

Getting ready these days are the barest of minimum. For this particular corporate call, I went with the theme, POPS OF COLOR to quickly transform from Mommy to Media Mogul 💋

I lightly dabbed some Josie Maran Skin dope oil all over my face, the rest, I weaved into my hair. I am fan of anything with multiple uses and this Argan / Hemp oil duo has been the go to during this effortless but with maximum effect look. I am a mother and dreamer so this type of quick fixes are a dream.

I then utilized ONE pigment color for my eyeliner and lip color, used 2 highlights and called it a day, well almost, I went out in the yard, picked a double blooming hibiscus and then was ready for the day 🤭

I used an Anastasia of Beverly Hills pro lip palette to create this look and I am sooooo glad I picked this gem up for my freelance kit.

A Saturday spent actually low key with my son, handled house cleaning, purging, taking in a much needed nap time and waking up around 5pm got me a hazy funk and not wanting to splurge on my usual, I hunted around for this matcha collagen mixed with caffeine for a more healthier boost.

Having tried this on an empty stomach, right when I first get up…now on my second cup, I can see how this could possibly replace my ridiculous coffee intake and sugar addiction. I’ve been giving my freelance kit a little bit of love as of lately and I am looking forward to sharing with you my latest organizing finds! Some may strike you as unique additions to your slay kit and sis, let me tell you it works!

I’ve gone through a series of attempted to organize the chaos that is my work and by far has worked out for me in wonders! I personally have used cups to store my liners (both eyes and lips) and what I found that in the cluster crap that could happen, its hard to keep track and find what I need.

With this laid out, sleek and #allblackeverything compartments, I am able to visually go through what I need and need to replenish. Every liner has a home and I operate via Roy G Biv or color gradient.

Lipsticks, Glosses and other like items are right at home and visually stunning in the next organizer. A lip obsessed ocd’s dream!
